Quick red pasta sauce


I was surprised at how bold, spicy and satisfying this pasta sauce was, not to mention it’s so quick. When you want to do a pasta dish, you don’t have time to make it from scratch, and don’t have any jars of prepared sauce in the cupboard, try this.

10 oz. can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (Rotel). Do not drain.
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tblsp. chopped fresh basil
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/8 cup raisins
dash of sugar to taste

Cook low to medium-low on stovetop for about 20 minutes until sauce thickens.
Spoon over spaghetti, ravioli or your favorite pasta. Serves 3.
